tom,
I'm using an nvidia card w/TV out as the second display, and have had
success with this:
DISPLAY=localhost:0.1; pd -guicmd "DISPLAY=localhost:0.0;
/usr/lib/pd/bin/pd-gui" -lib Gem -lib zexy
This will allow you to open Gem windows on display 0.1 while the pd gui
remains on display 0.0.
