The unresolved symbols error normally happens when you have a mismatch between 
a module and the kernel that is running on your system.  I am not really sure 
how that happened since you compiled the modules yourself, but I freely admit 
that I know next to nothing about how cvs works so perhaps that had something 
to do with it. The point is that somehow I think you managed to leverage your 
alsa build against the wrong kernel tree.  Look in /usr/src and make sure that 
the kernel source tree that you see matches the version number that you get 
from uname -r if they match then I don't know what to tell you except that 
Fernado prolly will know what is wrong.  If they do not match then you will 
need to download the src rpm and install it, then rebuild.
