It looks like it is there are a module:
# grep CONFIG_FW_LOADER .config
CONFIG_FW_LOADER=m
Or you need it to be "yes" instead of "m"? In a cursory search it does
not seem that it generates an actual module...

It is possible by downloading the source rpm for the kernel (_not_ the
kernel-source binary rpm), installing it, editing the configuration and
rebuilding. It is not trivial but not rocket science either.
