Depends on what you want to capture.

If it's analog video, then any Bt8x8 card would do. You can capture in
very good conditions using transcode - straight from command line if
you're not afraid :-) or with gv4l as a GUI if you're lazy:

If it's DV over FireWire, then any FireWire card would be fine, and
capture with dvgrab.
