[PlanetCCRMA] a little help

Hi I am new to the list.
I am doing a project which I would like to use jack and ardour with.

try as I might ardour won't compile for me. I upgraded liblrdf and I
installed all the deps.
I am not stuck with ardour but I can't seem to find an app that I can
use to multitrack edit and mix with (even 2 tracks)with jack support.
I installed rezound for this purpose, but when I use it with jack it
dissapears.

I see that ecasound has jack support, but its not exactly intuitive.
Can someone point out another app I can use or help me get ardour up and
running???
