Since logging out and logging in again, I can't get anything involving sound to work. Nothing can seem to find the right sound device. Alsaplayer doesn't even start up. Qamix seems to show the right settings. Is there something that I have to invoke every time that I log in? Can I get this to happen automatically? This is under Red Hat 9, having done a synaptic update-all last night.
