Hi all,

Thanks for the tips.  I got it all working last night.  Problem with the 
vir-midi was solved by increasing the number of sound cards.  Ardour rebuilt 
after updating from CVS.  Problem now is my machine is too slow for running 
pd and ardour together.  I think I'll take a look at using ecasound instead.
