   Your message is cryptic. What command did you try using to start
alsaplayer?

alsaplayer

alsaplayer -o jack

alsaplayer -r -o jack

   Give us more info, not less, to help you solve your problems.

I'm sure this is easy, but I can't figure it out.  Alsaplayer runs fine
when JACK is not up, but once I get JACK running, I can't get Alsaplayer
to work.  It starts up, but won't play anything.  Any ideas?
