[PlanetCCRMA] alsaplayer failure

I'm not seeing it here. I never use alsaplayer in alsa mode as the
defualt parameters it selects are always wrong :-) I'm getting that, so
maybe that is why I don't see the other problem (happens latter in the
code?).
