[mamst] Discretionary funding note

Greetings, crew!

I’m looking forward to seeing you all more as winter quarter in person events (hopefully) start rolling. I will continue a hybrid work schedule for the foreseeable future; my current in-person presence is in my signature, and remember that even if you don’t see me at my desk I am still working during regular business hours, so you’re welcome to call, text, or email me if you need anything.

I wanted to send out a clarification about discretionary funding: CCRMA has up to $1,500 per student available for conference and/or research participation. The departmental discretionary funds about which Mario emailed earlier in the year are only for doctoral students. I am happy to answer any questions you have - please just reach out!

I am on campus on Monday and Thursday, and working from home Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. I may be able to meet in person on Tuesday or Friday, by special arrangement.
