Hi all,

There was a very scary announcement yesterday about changes to visa requirements for international students, and university administration (including Bechtel) are scrambling to interpret them to make sure you all are safe and in compliance.

Please let me know if you are currently out of the US, and if you feel comfortable, share your plans with me. Please also be sure to consult with Bechtel (feel free to copy me) about this if you have any questions, understanding that they are a small staff and are currently inundated with questions, and that they will take longer to respond than they may usually, but they will get back to you. We should know more by the end of the week, so hang in there! I know this is deeply concerning for you (for me as well!), and acknowledge your distress. We are working to support you! And I personally hope you find some peace in all of this.
