[Grads] Fw: Concerns about Campus Compact

Hi folks,

If you have gone through the details of the COMPACT, you will have noticed the absurd rules. It is now possible to lose on-campus housing if you have anyone in your apartment, although all the parties involved were adults who are capable of assessing risks for themselves. You can also be kicked out of housing for traveling outside northern california. In response, please consider signing and circulating this petition. These restrictions don't take into account student mental health or well-being and enforce stifling restrictions.

Regards,
Orchi

Subject: [queergradwomen] Concerns about Campus Compact

Hi folks,

If you have concerns about the campus compact, you are not alone. A group of students has begun circulating a petition with a number of demands of the university to support student wellness, rather than just have us sign a punitive contract. Please read and consider signing the petition here<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScrrGDaAkK2uUB9fZfNLuETAQdUBwkcmxv15P9yx-cxlodtoQ/viewform>, and forward widely to your Stanford community. While the compact most directly impacts graduate students, the organizers also welcome support from postdocs, staff, and faculty.

You can find a link to the full text of the compact here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PEGzmeTFb7xfRN2-qACdxm97okuw5ofJV_8FHIK25gY/edit> since you can’t see all of it without signing. You can also view a list of concerns students have raised (here<https://padlet.com/laurenepope96/lx2woi44163y5m7t>).

Stay safe, y'all. With love,
Jen
