since you are on a Debian-derivative, the easiest way to install all the 
dependencies needed (to build the Debian package 'snd'), is to

1. enable source repositories (e.g. 
<https://askubuntu.com/questions/158871/>)

2. install the dependencies:
```
sudo apt-get build-dep snd
```

this will *probably* give you more than you asked for (but then you 
could play around with other build-options as well...)
