[CM] Are s7 GC questions in scope here?

Any s7 questions are ok in this list.  I can't tell what you're doing, 
but
this doesn't strike me as a GC problem.  If you can send me enough of 
your
program that I can run it, I'm willing to try to see what is wrong.
