[CM] Question: hash-table vs lists for fast processing

Following on the earlier post, I am looking up callbacks every 64 samples
now. Given this is running a lot, is there an appreciable difference,
either in speed or gc effects, in using a hash-table to find my callbacks
vs an association list?
