Your example does not contain the necessary backquote ` char (you use
a quote ' which will not work)

this is the corrected example you send

(define p5p (make-cycle `(120 130 140 150 ,(make-cycle '(1 2 3) :for
1))))

(next p5p 30)

=> (120 130 140 150 1 120 130 140 150 2 120 130 140 150 3 120 130 140
150 1 120 130 140 150 2 120 130 140 150 3)

If you dont have the backquote char ` on windows you can use the
actual name of he macro (quasiquote)

(define p5p (make-cycle (quasiquote (120 130 140 150 ,(make-cycle '(1
2 3) :for 1)))))
