It's better to just add something like:

@audio         -       nice            -10
@audio         -       rtprio          99
@audio         -       memlock         unlimited

to /etc/security/limits.conf to let PAM handle authentification for
rt-priority. Should work for users in group "audio" on any recent
PAM-enabled Linux distribtion.
