I haven't heard the term "play head" in this context, but I assume
it refers to where the playing starts?  That's the first argument
to the play function.  There are a variety of functions scattered
around to (e.g.) play from the cursor, pause and pick up, etc.
You can bind these to any key -- there are examples in the
manual.
