[CM] 6.12 audio difficulties

Hi folks

i wanted to use Kjetil's config for a scroller but it would not 
work without 6.11 or 6.12 so i updated
now it seems files are playing back at the wrong speeds (even 
after removing the .snd file)
6.10 plays them at the correct speed.

mac osx 10.2.6
G4 powerbook
x11 server
./configure --with-esd
