yes clisp is a problem. as far as midi goes cm has been using
MI_D for its driver connection and its linux port appears to be still under
construction.  if mi_d wont work then i guess ill have to look around on the
linux/music sites for a resonable midi driver and port to it . that is alot
more work but also doable.
