FYI, the current Common Music release works fine in GCL-1.0 without
any changes. GCL is the new, free Gnu Common Lisp (formally AKCL)
developed by Free Software Foundatain. I've got a tarfile of patches
for porting GCL to NeXTStep/Pentium and for building CM and CLM in
GCL 1.0 on both NeXT and NeXTStep/Pentium:
	ftp.zkm.de:/pub/gcl-1.0-next.gz.
CLM and CM run very fast on the Pentium -- the clm stuff im doing now
runs about as fast on a pentium as on my cube with 2 quint boards!

you get gcl from math.utexas.edu:/pub/gcl
	gcl-1.0.tgz
	pcl-gcl-1.0.tar.gz
